The Lowndes County Board of Assessors is responsible for the preparation of the annual real and personal property tax digest in compliance with the laws of Georgia. We strive to professionally create a yearly digest in accordance with Georgia law and in a manner that will instill and maintain confidence in all property valuations through fairness and uniformity for all taxpayers. Lowndes County has an approximate parcel count of 42,630 and covers 509 square miles.

The Board of Assessors is a 3-member board elected to 4-year terms by the voters of Lowndes County. The current Board members are:
