- Divorce Decree from last marriage

- $ 2.00 Marriage Certificate
- $ 5.00 Certified Copy
If you are a Georgia resident, a marriage license may be used in any County within this state. However, if you are an out of state applicant, you must be married in the county in which you obtained your license.Your marriage license will be recorded in the county where purchased.
Effective July 1, 2003, Georgia Law no longer requires blood tests for the issuance of a marriage license.
REQUIREMENTS FOR MINORS:
- 16-17 YEARS: Parental consent is required.
- 16-17 YEARS: If the female is pregnant or are the parents of a living child, must provide a signed and dated doctor’s statement confirming pregnancy or birth certificate of living child. Judge’s approval required. May involve notification of parents of minors.
- 15 YEARS OR UNDER: A marriage license can be issued ONLY if the female is pregnant or if the couple are the parents of a living child. If female is pregnant, a doctors statement is required. If parents of a living child, a birth certificate is required.
TO BE MARRIED BY THE JUDGE:
- Marriage ceremonies performed by the Judge at the Courthouse are done by
APPOINTMENT ONLY. These appointments are available from 9:00 A.M. –
11:30 A.M. and from 2:00 P.M. – 4:30 P.M., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.
- To be Married by the Judge on the weekend, after the above mentioned hours and
outside this Court, you will need to make arrangements with her. She can be reached at 229-333-5103.
