NOTICE TO USERS OF THE NORTH LOWNDES WATER PLANT
(The North Lowndes Plant serves the area in and around Wiregrass Technical College, Stone Creek, Foxborough and Grove Point)

UPDATE: AUGUST 1, 2014

While water pressure is returning to normal, the elevated storage tank level has not been fully restored.  Due to this, please do not resume the use of sprinkler/irrigation systems until Thursday, August 7.  In addition, State of Georgia watering restrictions are in place.  After August 7, odd number addresses may water on Tuesday, Thursdays and Sundays.  Even numbered addresses may water on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.  Watering is prohibited on Fridays.  Your cooperation is vital to increasing the tank level needed to adequately supply all system users with acceptable water pressure.  Thank you for your assistance in this matter.  For more information, please visit www.lowndescounty.com or call Lowndes County Utilities during normal business hours at 229-671-2500.

If you are a Lowndes County water customer, you may be experiencing periods of low water pressure due to an equipment failure at the water plant that supplies your area. While the equipment has been repaired, water levels in the elevated tank are below normal operating levels. Please discontinue the use of outdoor irrigation or sprinkler systems immediately. Systems should remain off for the next five days so that operating levels can return to normal. Your cooperation is vital to increasing the tank level needed to adequately supply all system users with acceptable water pressure. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
