Lowndes County 911/Emergency Management Center Page The Lowndes County 911/Emergency Management Center provides 911 emergency-call answering service, dispatching service for all emergency response service (fire, law enforcement, and ambulance) and emergency management planning and coordination. The Center is a consolidated activity serving the unincorporated and incorporated areas of Lowndes County. The Center is the Program Manager for the Lowndes County/Valdosta Public Safety Radio System, a state-of-the-art 800 MHz, digital, trunked, voice and data system. The Center also provides wireline 911 emergency-call answering and dispatching services for neighboring Echols County.
The Center processes approximately 455 Calls-for-Service each day and is capable of routinely surging over 500 Calls-for-Service in any 24-hour period.
