Public Works

Overview

The Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining 1050 miles of roads, 52 County owned facilities , and 460 vehicles / equipment. Lowndes County Public Works also operates the County Mosquito Control Program.

The Director, Robin Cumbus, is responsible for managing the Public Works Department, providing support and resources to all 106 departmental employees while assuring all county policies are followed. The director is also responsible for improving efficiency and effectiveness within the financial boundaries given.
