Frank McMillan

Lowndes County Fire Rescue
Title: Deputy Chief of Operations
Phone: 229-671-2729

Battalion Chief Frank McMillan began his career in 1985 as a firefighter in the Valdosta Fire Department, following his father and namesake, who retired with more than 30 years from VFD. BC McMillan moved up each rank until he promoted to Battalion Chief in 2011.

After serving 36 years with Valdosta, BC McMillan retired from the city and joined Lowndes County Fire Rescue in an effort to continue to aid the community in protecting life and property and assist LCFR with their expansion efforts.

Born and raised in Lowndes County, BC McMillan now resides in Brooks County with his wife, his 15-year-old daughter, Sabrina, and his beloved dog, Oakley. BC McMillan has three other children, Rich, Blake, and Chelsea and seven beautiful grandchildren. On his off days, BC McMillan restores classic cars, antique Coca Cola machines and gas pumps.
