Directed by a Deputy Chief of Training and supported by two Training Captains, the Training Division delivers comprehensive instruction to all department personnel.

Our programs are designed not only to meet State and National standards, but to exceed them. The Training Division offers advanced courses in key operational areas including:

  • Hazardous Materials Response
  • Water Rescue
  • High Angle and Low Angle Rescue
  • Technical Rescue (i.e., structural collapse, trench & confined space)
  • Vehicle Extrication
  • Emergency Medical Services

In addition to specialized disciplines, the Training Division maintains a structured curriculum for core certifications, such as Firefighter I & II, Pumper Apparatus Operator and Aerial Apparatus Operator.

We actively monitor and maintain training hours, to ensure State/ISO compliance and plan for the department’s evolving needs. By staying ahead of emerging fire service technologies, building construction trends, and societal shifts; the Training Division ensures our personnel are always prepared to respond safely, effectively and professionally.
